Why should I visit Lombok?

If you want a holiday that has everything then Lombok is your destination. It is less than two hours from Jakarta. The Gili islands (which are also part of Lombok) areonly a ten-minute boat ride from the mainland. We have by far the best beaches and islands in the area (including Bali). We have South Kuta which is becoming veryiconic. Central Lombok for the waterfalls and culture, West Lombok for Senggigi, and North Lombok for the Gili Islands. Lombok has everything you need for a holiday.The beauty is currently untouched.

Do I need a Visa to visit Lombok?

Lombok International Airport has joined the list of airports in Indonesia where the citizens of many countries can get a free visa for 30 days when arriving directly toLombok. You still have a visa, you just don't have to pay for it. Requirements is 6 months valid on your passport and a return or through ticket. The visa cannot be extended. If you think you may wish to stay longer, then ask to pay for the visa which is US 35. Only a paid visa can be extended later.

How do I get to Lombok?

Of course, it depends on where you come from, e.g. if you come from Europe the intermediate stops are Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Singapore. From there, you can take a direct route to Lombok International Airport.We would be happy to help you organise a quick and easy journey.

How do I get to Jaringan from the Airport?

We are happy to organise a pick-up service from the airport to take you directly to Jaringan. If you organise this yourself, the cost is around IDR 150,000, which is the equivalent of 8.80 euros. The journey takes about 20 minutes. The airport is 20km from Kuta.

Do I need a car or a scooter?

The most used means of transport is the scooter, as there is little to no public transport, it makes sense from your point of view to rent one for your time. We would like to recommend our in-house scooter rental service, so you can be mobile quickly and easily!

Is Lombok safe?

Lombok and especially Kuta are in the government's focus due to the new international MotoGP project. This means both infrastructure and more staff are and have been trained in this security area. The new police headquarters will also create an institution that will help the people. With the goal of making Kuta an attractive location for holidays, sports and travel, more investments will follow!

Do I need insurance?

You do not need additional insurance for a stay of less than 30 days, your normal insurance will cover this. The only thing to note is that you have to pay everything in advance if you see a doctor. You can then collect the money you have spent from your insurance company at home. If you stay longer than 30 days in Indonesia, you will need travel health insurance.

What is the main religion in Lombok?

Lombok is a majority Muslim island. You will find that the locals here are very friendly people and those living within tourist areas are accustomed to having Western visitors.

How do I exchange money?

You will find several exchange bureaus in Kuta where you can exchange cash. There are also several bank ATM’s where you can withdraw money. Nevertheless, some banks could charge you a small fee depending your bank.

What is the climate like?

You can visit Lombok at any time. From June to September its dry season where its almost guaranteed constant sunshine. From December to March its rainy season, it can bring heavy showers but usually rain passes quickly and days are sunny too.

How is the cellular service?

If you have an international data plan you should be able to get service in Kuta. It’s also easy and cheap to get you a temporary Indonesian sim card with internet for your device.
